In order for you to have the best chances of having a baby, a number of tests are performed during your first visit to our fertility clinic. Only a 3 day long stay is necessary between the 4th and 6th day of your period.
If you are planning to use your partner's sperm than he will need to be there too, so at the same time his screening tests can be done as well.

If you have any of the test results already and they are not older than 12 month than is absolutely fine to bring them along with you to your first consultation (or send them to us even before you leave to Hungary) and they will not have to be repeated.

Tests:

Gynaecological examination

Bimanual examination to reveal pelvic conditions, photo documented vaginal ultrasound.

Pap smear

Oncological consultation is provided if needed. HPV typology - when warranted by Pap smear results.

Bacterial testing of female genitalia

Testing from urine sample. Bacterial testing of vaginal discharge. Bacterial testing of the cervix: Chlamydia, Ureplasma, Mycoplasma, Neisseria, Gardnerella.

Hormonal tests

On the 4th day of the cycle: FSH, LH, Oestradiol, Prolactin, Testosterone, DHEA-S, TSH, T3, T4 On the 21st day of the cycle: Progesterone, Prolactin (will be need to be done in the UK)

Viral and other blood tests

a. HYCOSY (Hystero Contrast Salpingographia)

ultrasound-assisted procedure painless minimally invasive provides a fairly accurate diagnosis of the uterine cavity accurate diagnosis on the patency of the tubes

b. HSG   (Histerosalpingographia)

X-ray assisted procedure less comfortable than HYCOSY fairly inaccurate for diagnosing the uterus provides a fairly accurate diagnosis of the tubes

c. Hysteroscopy, Laparoscopy

operative procedure most precise method for correct diagnosis of the pelvic conditions. most invasive for the patient.
